Sunset At The North Pole 

 

The magnificent photo above was taken on January 13, 2011 at 8:49:05 pm.

Captured during sunset at the North Pole, it was the closest that the Earth and the moon will be to each other this year.

This is a rare and amazing sight that most of us will probably never get to see in our lifetime.

The large crescent moon and the burning sun just under it, farther in the background, were reflected in the calm waters below.
