Who wouldn't want to have his hands on a Bugatti Veyron, a sleek speedster which holds the title of the fastest road-legal car in the world. Most people could only dream, because it carries a price tag only a few can afford - a whopping $1.5 million.

25 year-old Mike Duff of Florida was one of those dreamers who cannot afford a Bugatti Veyron, but his intense passion for the car made him set out to reproduce one of his own.

He started by transforming the entire exterior of his 2002 Mercury Cougar coupe into that of a Bugatti Veyron, using fiberglass and  composite materials to recreate its iconic lines. He then had it professionally painted.

He covered the entire interior with genuine leather, including its dashboard. His reproduction has an added feature which the original lacks - usable back seats.

The conversion job took 9 months to finish, at less than 1/10th the cost of the original.

Though under the hood of Duff's Bugatti Veyron is still the 2.5 liter V6 engine of the Cougar, the finished product was incredibly impressive.
